DC-DC charger Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-30A (360W) insulated

The Victron Energy Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger is a professional DC-DC adaptive three-stage charger with built-in Bluetooth. It is designed for use in dual battery systems in vehicles or on boats where a (smart) alternator and starter battery are used to charge the service battery. The unit can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and controlled remotely using the remote on/off switch. The charger also features an engine running detection mechanism.

The Orion Tr-Smart chargers are available in 12V or 24V versions and are suitable for both lead acid and lithium batteries. Models up to 400W are available. In addition, an unlimited number of units can be connected in parallel to increase output power.

It is suitable for use in high ambient temperatures, up to 55°C, and at full rated output power up to 40°C.

With Bluetooth Smart connectivity
Any smartphone, tablet or other device can be used to monitor, change settings and update the charger when new software features are available.

Adaptive three-stage charging algorithm: fast - absorption - float
For lead-acid batteries, it is important that the absorption time is short during light discharges, thus preventing overcharging the battery. After deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically increased to ensure a full charge of the battery.
The absorption time for lithium batteries is constant, 2 hours by default.
Or a constant output voltage can be selected.
Remote On/Off
A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected to the two-pole connector, or the H (right) terminal of the two-pole connector can be switched to the positive terminal of the battery, or the L
(left) terminal of the two-pole connector can be switched to the negative terminal of the battery (or, for example, to the vehicle ground).

All models are equipped with short-circuit protection and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current
There is no limit to the number of units that can be connected in parallel.
High temperature protection
The output current will be reduced at high ambient temperatures.
IP43 protection
When installed with screw terminals facing downwards.
